• Documents & Contacts: Scanned documents, PDFs, and extracted contacts are stored locally on your device.
• On-Device OCR: Core OCR capabilities process image data directly on your device where supported.
• Cloud Lens: If you choose online language support, the selected image may be sent to a third-party OCR provider for processing.

3. Permissions We Request

To provide core functionality, the app may request camera and storage or photo permissions.

• Camera: Used for document, card, and QR/barcode scanning.
• Storage/Photos: Used for saving generated files and importing existing images.

4. Third-Party Services

Smart Scan may rely on third-party services for advertising, OCR, updates, or related app infrastructure. Their data handling is governed by their own privacy policies.

5. Data Security

We prioritize minimizing risk by favoring on-device storage and processing wherever possible. You should also secure your device with a PIN, password, or biometrics to prevent unauthorized access.
